Prior to laying the material, the base surface should be given a cleaning. In the case of older wooden plank floors it will prove advisable to retighten loose joints. Laying should proceed to form a bond laying pattern. A space or recess should be left for the installation of service lines or a groove sawn in the insulating board for this purpose.
